IIT Campus is a small township in itself. Spread over 530 acres, the campus houses apart from the academic buildings, world-class hostels, residential quarters, guest houses, schools, a hospital, a restaurant, a shopping complex, and a bank. Situated on the edge of the Powai Lake and surrounded by hills, the campus offers some of the most breathtaking views. The campus has over the years retained and increased its green cover and abounds in flora and fauna. The serene and beautiful surroundings almost belie the rigorous and intense academic and research activities that take place in the campus.
