There are many events that are conducted at IIT Bombay throughout the year. Among the prominent events that take place are:

Techfest

Techfest is the annual technology festival of IIT Bombay. It has a wide range of events and exhibitions and it has become the foremost event of its kind enjoying the participation of over 15,000 students, faculty and about 1,500 corporate executives from all over the country. A major highlight of this fest is the robot competition titled Yantriki.

Mood Indigo

Mood Indigo is the annual cultural festival of IIT Bombay and it has been the largest of its kind ever since its inception 32 years ago. MI attracts over 50,000 students from more than 200 colleges all over India. It provides a platform for the congregation of the youth of the entire country. Apart from providing all-out entertainment in the form of Competitions, Aqua games and informals, MI is unique as it conducts many educative workshops through Horizons, wherein professionals from different fields impart their knowledge and skills to participants.

Avenues

This is the annual business festival jointly organized by the Shailesh J Mehta School of Management and the Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Bombay. It has a Business Plan competition, a number of workshops, a panel discussion, a business quiz and numerous other competitions like cases, business games etc. The inaugural event conducted in April this year was a roaring success.

One should always keep his/her eyes on the notice board for several eminent speakers come to the campus and deliver talks. Similarly, eminent musicians visit the campus to give performances.
