Eating Out
Situated in a cosmopolitan city like Mumbai, IIT is surrounded by hotels and restaurants that serve the best North Indian, Punjabi, Gujarati, South Indian, Chinese and Continental Cuisine.


Roda’s

This 5-star hotel situated in Hiranandani, which is just a few minutes away from the campus serves the best Indian and Continental Cuisine. It also offers Banquet halls and opportunities for rooftop parties.

Galleria

This complex also in Hiranandani houses a variety of small restaurants that serve excellent food at reasonable prices.

Laxmi

This restaurant bang opposite the IIT main gate serves excellent vegetarian food.

Apart from these there are other hotels like the Harish, Sujata Palace(SP), Radha Krishna, Maddu mess and Mallu mess (named so fondly by the students) which provide good value for money.

IIT campus itself boasts of some very good places for eating out.

Gulmohur

Situated in the Guest House Annexe Complex, this restaurant offers a wide range of menu at affordable prices.

Staff Canteen

Open during the office hours, it is near the Security Office in the Main Building. It provides decent food at low prices. The best bet if you missed your lunch or dinner in the hostel.

Nescafe

Located near the STD / PCO booth in the Main Building and known by its more famous name, Coffee Shack, it serves Maggie noodles, soup, chocolates, hot and cold coffee, and tea. The favourite hang-out of the students, this place is best for a quick bite between lectures.
