What is the deadline for extended abstract submissions?
The deadline to submit extended abstract is 15 September 2024
What is the deadline for full-length paper submissions?
The deadline to submit full-length paper is 31 August 2024
Why is the deadline for abstract submissions later than the full-length paper submissions?
Please note that, unlike other conferences, extended abstract submissions and full-length paper submissions for this conference are independent processes. If you wish to submit a full-length paper, you may do so directly without abstract submission. Since the review of a full-length paper takes more time on our end, the deadlines are kept like that.
When do we expect to hear from the organizers regarding submitted abstracts or full-length papers?
The reviews are being done periodically. Those who submitted their abstracts before 1st July 2024 are expected to be notified by the third week of July. For full-paper submissions, the first round of notifications is expected to be sent out by the end of August.
Is accommodation available at or near the conference venue?
Yes, for students, research scholars and young industry participants, limited shared hostel accommodation (separate hostels for boys and girls) are available for domestic and international participants for a nominal fee on a first-come, first-served basis. The students/research scholar/young industry participants willing to avail the hostel accommodation facility are requested to fill the Expression of Interest for Accommodation here .
Further, for faculty and industry participants, Limited accommodation facility at MTNL Guest House near IIT Bombay is available on a first-come, first-served basis for a nominal fee as compared to the nearby hotels. The participants willing to avail of the accommodation facility are requested to fill out the Expression of Interest for Accommodation here .
If our full-length paper is accepted for presentation, will it be published in a partner journal?
The acceptance for journal publication will be subject to the recommendation of the program committee and subsequent processes (including further review) of the journal. However, there are relatively higher chances of acceptance of your paper in Proceedings/Book Chapter if your paper is accepted at the conference.
Further, it needs to be noted that the decision on publication will be taken after the conference as various criteria like review scores, track chair report of the conference presentation, publishers' guidelines and program committee's decisions need to be taken into account for taking the final call.
I have submitted my full paper to leverage potential opportunities for publication in partner journals/book series/proceedings. However, I have recently received notification for the publication of abstracts in ISBN Proceedings. Won't that cause self-plagiarism issues?
If you have registered for the conference, you must have received the recent email to upload your abstract for ISBN Proceedings. Please note that this is independent of the Full-paper publication opportunity. We are compiling the abstracts of both full paper and only abstract category submissions, which will be published as a part of separate abstract proceedings of the conference, subject to your consent.
This is OPTIONAL for the full paper category submissions. If you do not wish to publish your abstract in the conference abstract proceedings with ISBN number (due to self-plagiarism or any other concerns) and look for ONLY full paper proceedings/edited book/partner journals, if recommended, please IGNORE the abstract publication email and do not fill the provided form. Without your consent, we will not publish your abstract as a part of the conference abstract proceedings with an ISBN number.
Do all authors of the paper need to register for the conference?
All the presenters/attendees/authors willing to participate in the conference are required to register individually. In the case of a full-length paper presentation, one of the presenters needs to pay the full amount, while other authors may register as attendees.
I mistakenly registered under the wrong category and paid higher registration amount, will I be provided with partial refunds?
Please note that registration fee is non-refundable. You are requested to take due care while paying the registration fee. Processing of partial refunds is almost impossible for the payments made through the IIT Bombay Payment gateway. However, in rare cases only, we may plan alternative ways of non-monetary reimbursement.
