Method of Computing the Composite Score for Shortlisting for Admission Interview

1.1 Performance in CAT 2024 (75%)

75% weightage will be given to candidate’s Overall scaled score in CAT 2024. It is calculated as:
CAT score = (Candidate’s CAT scaled score/198 scaled total) *75

1.2 Academic Profile:

The weightage for the academic profile will be as follows:

1.2.1 Class XII or Equivalent (5%)
The score of the candidate is calculated using the following method.

Marks obtained (in %)Score
<=650
>65 and <=701
>70 and <=752
>75 and <=803
>80 and <=854
>855

Marks in all the subjects included in the marksheet of Class XII or Equivalent exam are considered to compute the final percentage irrespective of whether the board considers them or not.
Based on the score obtained by the candidate and maximum possible score (for both percentage marks and CGPA/CPI), equivalent percentage of marks will be derived as (Obtained score/ Maximum possible score)*100, irrespective of the formula followed by the respective universities/boards/institutions for the conversion.
For candidates with a 3-year Diploma instead of 12th, the three year average of their Diploma score is considered for computing this score.

1.2.2 Under Graduate (UG) degree (10%)
The score is awarded to the candidate based on marks obtained UG Programme, and the discipline.
The UG disciplines are divided into five categories and the score is given as mentioned below
