It is my privilege to welcome you to the Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM), the management school of IIT Bombay. Established in 1995, SJMSOM has grown into one of India’s most respected centres of management education — built on the institute’s enduring foundation of technical excellence, research and integrity.

We offer a full spectrum of programmes designed for different stages of a professional’s journey: a flagship two-year MBA, a rigorous doctoral (Ph.D.) programme, and an Executive MBA offered jointly with the Olin Business School, Washington University in St. Louis, alongside a portfolio of Management Development Programmes for working executives.

Our curriculum is shaped to stay closely aligned with the needs of industry, while our faculty remain deeply engaged in research, training and consulting. This is enriched by associate and visiting faculty drawn from industry, and by access to leading macroeconomic, industry and corporate databases, high-performance computing and analytical resources that empower data-driven learning and scholarship.

Innovation and entrepreneurship are woven into our ecosystem. Through the Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SINE), IIT Bombay has nurtured more than 200 start-ups and 850 entrepreneurs, collectively raising over ₹5,500 crore — a testament to the spirit of value creation that our students carry forward.
