Clubs

At SJMSOM, education is not confined to the boundary of the classrooms. In order to promote peer learning, the students of the school also organize various activities under the umbrella of the below clubs.

These clubs provide a forum for students to share their ideas, knowledge and experiences in their respective domains. They supplement academic life by helping students to continuously learn and improve themselves so as to make them ready for the rigor of the industry. These clubs help build the students competencies by organizing workshops, knowledge sharing sessions, industry interactions and case study solving sessions among others.

Consig Club at SJMSOM, IIT Bombay is a student-driven organization devoted to aiding students aspiring to pursue a career in consulting. The club's primary activities include hosting workshops for interview preparation in the consulting domain, conducting speaker sessions with distinguished leaders in consulting, publishing casebooks and magazines, managing and facilitating both external and internal case competitions, and fostering collaborations with corporations and startups. These initiatives collectively provide students with firsthand exposure to diverse forms of consulting.

Economicus's objective is to establish a platform offering students opportunities to delve into and comprehend the significance of economics and its principles across diverse corporate realms. A conducive business environment significantly influences a nation's economic conditions. Our goal is to enhance comprehension of the interconnectedness of economy and business, illustrating how they collaboratively shape a more prosperous society. Through exploration and understanding, we aspire to contribute to the synergy between economic principles and corporate dynamics, fostering a collective vision for a better future.

Entrepreneurship Club (EClub) was formed in 2007 by a group of students passionate about entrepreneurship to acknowledge the entrepreneurial spirit within SJMSOM. A business school is the perfect brewing pot of a unique set of potentially world-changing ideas, and E-Club was formed with the sole objective of taking these from ideas to implementation. The campus of IIT Bombay provides the perfect ecosystem and adequate resources for an entrepreneur to kick start their journey. E-Club is an enabler for these hustlers who have been bitten by the proverbial bug of entrepreneurship.

Finesse Club is the official Finance Club of Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay.
The Finesse Club is a medium of expression for the Finance Enthusiasts and followers on various topics and issues from the Financial standpoint which would strive to keep the members abreast of the development in the field of Finance, Accounting, and Economics.

As a part of the Finesse Club, we conduct a host of activities including industry interaction, workshops, case discussion, alumni connect, content creation, presentations and many more on Finance related topics. The discussion and topic selection is a mix of current happenings and basic readings which would help us appreciate Finance from a broader perspective.

HUMANe is the HR club at Shailesh J. Mehta School Of Management, IIT Bombay. HumanE assists students in gaining sufficient knowledge in the field of Human Resource Management. The activities of the club include the HR Continuum, which is a rolling seminar series that brings together industry professionals to discuss hot topics in the field of human resources. The club also organizes Utkarsh, the annual article-writing competition. The competition sees participation from over 100 students from top B schools in the country. Apart from that, the club also publishes Melange, the annual HR Club magazine which consists of winning articles from the event "Utkarsh", industry experts, and summer internship experiences.

Marktrix is a club for the marketing enthusiasts of the school. The club helps foster new ideas and open unexplored vistas in the vast marketing field. The club also assists fellow students of SJMSOM in gaining sufficient knowledge in the marketing domain and keeps them abreast with the latest developments in the field. The club also provides a platform for budding marketers to interact with Industry stalwarts to learn and grow from their rich corporate experiences. Fostering creativity, the club also encourages the students to think out of the box and have innovative events, both online and on campus.

Opera, the Operations Club of Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay, is dedicated to enhancing Operations domain knowledge in MBA graduates. We strive to promote awareness of recent developments in the Operations & Supply Chain domain. Bridging the gap between academia and industry is a key focus, achieved through speaker sessions with industry leaders. Throughout the year, we organize case competitions and games to facilitate practical application of concepts. Our engagement also extends to a national-level Article writing competition, inviting students to participate. The best articles are featured in our annual magazine, Magister Operandi, fostering a dynamic exchange of insights.

Prodigy, the flagship Product Management club of SJMSOM, IIT Bombay, focuses on educating and preparing students for careers in product management. We conduct guest lectures, workshops, case studies, mentorship, networking events, and industry visits to aid the club's mission to build a community of passionate product managers and equip students with the skills, knowledge, and network needed to excel in their product management careers.

SPIKE club at SJMSOM, IIT Bombay, excels in organizing key sports events like Prithvi and Som League. Prithvi, a national inter B-School meet, brings management students from across India to IIT Bombay for competitions in sports including Cricket, Badminton, Basketball, Football, and more. Conversely, Som League, exclusive to SJMSOM students, promotes campus camaraderie through a variety of traditional and unconventional sports. Leveraging IIT Bombay's superior facilities, SPIKE club fosters active participation, talent discovery, and a strong sports culture. Its innovative event management has made it a popular and integral part of the SJMSOM student experience.

Systematics Club is a medium of expression for the Systems enthusiasts and followers on various topics and issues from the Systems standpoint, providing a platform to broaden their horizon on the Systems aspect of management. As a part of Systems Club we conduct a host of activities including case competitions, continuum, placement prep sessions, alumni connect, and many more on Systems related topics. The case competition and continuum is based on a mix of current happenings, basic readings and future technologies which would change the way business is carried out.
