Advance Workshop on Patent Searching and Drafting
MHRD IPR chair and IPR Cell, IIT Bombay is happy to announce a 2 day advanced workshop on patent searching & drafting.
Objectives of workshop:
1. To provide the guidance and the techniques for effective prior art searches required for patent application.
2. To provide the techniques for drafting an effective, patent specification.
Pedagogy:
- Assignments on searching will be provided which will be carried forward to patent drafting.
- Use of paid and public patent databases for patent searching.
Eligibility:
1. Those who have attended "Fundamentals in IPR workshop"
2. Those who have completed any other basic course in IPR, specifically patents.
3. Fundamental knowledge on patents and its structure, application procedure is a prerequisite.
Dates:
Patent Searching: February 28, 2016 (10.00am – 4.00pm)
Patent Drafting: March 6, 2016 (10.00am – 5.00pm)

The workshop is open to all including persons from outside IIT Bombay and is designed to enable the participant to understand the basics of patent searching and drafting. Completion certificates would be provided only on 100% attendance and completion of assignments. Participants are requested to bring laptops.
